Letter to Senate Leadership calling for support of Kahele “Remove the Stain” Amendment

Following House passage of the Kahele “Remove the Stain” Amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act; Oliver Semans, Sr., Co-Executive Director of Four Directions Native Vote, is calling on the Senate to hold a floor vote to show its public support for the amendment. 

The Kahele amendment, “Rescinds twenty Medals of Honor awarded to the members of the United States army for killing hundreds of unarmed Lakota women, children and men on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, which later became known as the Wounded Knee Massacre.”
